FAQs

How do I know if I need counseling?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, stuck, or just need someone to talk to, counseling can help. You don’t need to be in a crisis to benefit—therapy is also great for personal growth, stress management, and building healthier habits.

What can I talk about in counseling?

Anything that’s on your mind—relationships, work stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-esteem, past experiences, or setting life goals. Your therapist will tailor the sessions to what you need most.

How long does therapy last?

Some people see improvement in just a few sessions, while others benefit from ongoing support. It really depends on your goals and what you’re working through.

How often will I need to attend sessions?

Most people start with weekly or biweekly sessions. You and your therapist will discuss a schedule that fits your needs and lifestyle.

Do you offer counseling for children?

Yes, we provide counseling for children using age-appropriate techniques such as talk therapy to help them express emotions, build coping skills, and navigate challenges like anxiety, behavior issues, family changes, or school stress.

What can I expect in my first counseling session?

The first session is about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask about your background, current concerns, and goals for therapy. It’s a conversation—not an interrogation—and you’re free to share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We use evidence-based approaches like mindfulness-based therapy, person-centered therapy, and more—depending on your goals and preferences.

Is online counseling available?

Yes! We offer secure telehealth sessions so you can meet with your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your home.

What’s the cost of a session? Do you accept insurance?

Individual counseling will be $55 while couples/marriage counseling will be $75 per session. We can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
